Membership

Membership of the Board

It is important to note here that individual membership of Principals Australia for principals is not possible under the current structure. The Board itself actually consists of eight (8) representatives of the four peak principals associations in Australia, as follows:

These bodies are responsible for providing their nominations to Principals Australia, though there is encouragement to take into account such factors as gender and location during the selection process. Principals Australia itself is responsible for subsequently determining official positions in the Board's structure, such as:

  • Chairperson
  • Deputy Chairperson

Our past Chairpersons have been: inaugural Chair Father Hugh Brown (VIC), Ms Margaret Grant OAM (SA), Chris Cameron (ACT),Don Zoellner (NT), Tom Croker (NSW) and Ted Brierley (VIC).

National contacts

Actual names and contact details of principals associations representatives are available here, as well as details of past and planned branch activities. These include the various committees which support the Council's activities.
